Welcome to my site! Music Therapy in Bahrain
My name is Florencia Grasselli. I am a Neurologic Music Therapist, with a degree in SMTA (Speech and Music Therapy for Aphasia) and at the moment doing my Master of Music in Music Therapy at the Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO). At the moment, I offer my Music Therapy services in Bahrain. I am a member of the Dutch Society for Music Therapy (NVvMT), the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Federation of Arts Therapy (FVB).
I was born in Argentina, where in 2008 I graduated with honors and obtained my Bachelor in Music Therapy from University of Salvador (USAL) in Buenos Aires. Later, I moved to The Netherlands where I did my fellowship in Neurologic Music therapy in Artez Conservatorium ( Enschede) and I have been working as a full-time music therapist with clients suffering from different neurological disabilities. In 2018 I moved to the Kingdom of Bahrain where I am currently providing my music therapy services.
I am also a professional singer and that’s how I found out that making music meant so much more than what I thought.
On this website, you will find an overview of my services and information about music therapy in Bahrain and music therapy in general. As a music therapist, I provide individual and group Music Therapy services in the Kingdom of Bahrain to children, teens, and adults with neurologic impairments, voice disorders, developmental disabilities, and mental health needs. Sessions can take place in my studio, the client’s homes, residential facilities or outpatient clinics. With my experience as a singer and Music Therapist, I give vocal workshops aimed at developing the potential of expression in our voices.
I speak spanish (native), english and dutch.
